Promotion
- The Gloucestershire Lottery (the "Lottery") will be promoted and administered by James Hopkins Trading Ltd.
- The Lottery is promoted in furtherance of the aim to raise funds for charities chosen by James Hopkins Trading Ltd.
- Gloucestershire Lottery reserves the right to photograph winners or use winners names for publicity purposes.
Licensing
- The Gloucestershire Lottery is registered with Gloucester City Council under the Gambling Act 2005. Registration Number LOT310. Promoters name and address: Mr V. Hopkins on behalf of James Hopkins Trading Ltd, Kites Corner, North Upton Lane, Barnwood, Gloucester, GL4 3TR. Telephone number 01452 612 216, email address info@gloucestershirelottery.co.uk.
- All policy matters will be undertaken by James Hopkins Trading Ltd, who will meet not less than twice a year.
- All operational matters will be undertaken by the Manager, appointed by the Board and accountable to them on any matters relating to the Lottery, the entrants or the draw.
Proceeds
- All proceeds, after the payment of winnings and controlled expenses, will be distributed to James Hopkins Trust and Have A Heart by James Hopkins Trading Ltd.
Entry
- The Lottery is cashless. Entry can be paid by standing order, cheque, postal order or through payroll deduction.
- The lottery is open to all members of the public over the age of 16, excluding employees and administrators appointed for managing the process of the Gloucestershire Lottery by James Hopkins Trading Ltd.
- The price of a Lottery ticket is £1.
- Each participant must complete an application form with payment details, which must be forwarded to The Gloucestershire Lottery, Kite’s Corner, North Upton Lane, Gloucester GL4 3TR.
- Entries received into the Gloucestershire Lottery office will be allocated a number and confirmation of entry stating the lottery number, player's name and address (as per lottery database) and date of entry into the draw will be sent to the player.
- Subscribers will not be entered into the draw until a payment has been received.
- Non-payment will invalidate an entry. No payment includes circumstances where: the standing order has been cancelled by the account holder, the standing order has not been paid by the bank for any reason, the postal order/cheque entry has not been renewed, confirmation from employers of payroll contributions ceasing.
- In the event of any variance between a subscribers payments and lottery records, evidence of payment into the Lottery may be required.
Refunds
- Refunds will only be given where an error has been made by Gloucestershire Lottery.
Prizes
- The weekly prize shall be £500 payable by cheque. The cheque will be made payable to the name of the winning player as per the entry recorded by the Lottery database. Gloucestershire Lottery reserves the right to change the size of the prize with adequate publicity/ notification.
- Prizes do not have to be claimed, employees of The Gloucestershire Lottery will contact winners.
Company Ceases to Trade
- James Hopkins Trading Ltd reserves the right to stop the lottery at any time. In this event, the weekly draw will take place for a maximum of 13 weeks.
- All active players at the date of decision to cease the Lottery will be notified accordingly, in writing.
- Any prepayments beyond the last draw will be refunded.
Cancellation
- Cancellation of an entry is at the onus of the player or in the event of death, their estate.
- It is the responsibility of each player to notify The Gloucestershire Lottery of any change in banking and personal details.
The Draw
- The draw will be undertaken by any third party and administered and witnessed by The Gloucestershire Lottery employees, using the custom built database programme.
- With the agreement of the judges, employees of The Gloucestershire Lottery may perform the draw, if it is not practically possible for an independent representative to do so.
- The draw will take place on a mid-weekly basis or equivalent to equate to 52 required draws per annum. With the permission of the judges a maximum of 3 draws may take place in advance or retrospectively in the event of staff absences or unavailability of independent representatives.
- In the event of an error, the lottery for that week will be declared void and a fresh lottery shall take place within 48 hours of the original being declared void.
- The Board of Directors are judges in the event of any error in the draw, multiple draws having to take place and/or any query as to the outcome of the draw. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the allocation of prizes.
- The purchase of a chance in the lottery implies acceptance of the scheme and its rules and conditions. Signature of the application form by the player shall be taken as agreement to the terms & conditions.
